Rearcross 'A' bowed out of the Munster Junior Cup last Sunday on a 3-1 scoreline against Blackcastle 'A', Rearcross dominated in the opening period and will rue two missed chances in the first half that would have given a deserved half time cushion, Oliver Kennedy was also to the fore in the opening half with a fine save in the 35th minute. Blackcastle went ahead in the 62nd minute with a goal from the penalty spot, Rearcross reduced to ten men at this stage battled hard to claw their way back in to the game and succeeded in the 77th minute when Thomas Kennedy scored from in front of goal. Blackcastle 'A' took the lead again in the 85th minute with a goal from the edge of the six yard box. Rearcross were denied a penalty claim in the 89th minute and the resulting attack from Blackcastle 'A' saw victory secured on a 3-1 score line with a goal from close range.
