Rearcross 'B' bowed out of the Third Division Shield last Wednesday week on a 2-1 scoreline after extra time against Kinnity Rovers in a preliminary round game played in Rearcross. Trevor Delahaunty scored the opener in the 40th minute when he headed a Myles Devitt corner to the back of the net, Kinnity were back in the game two minutes later with a goal from close range. The sides remained level at the final whistle after Adrian Ryan was unlucky to see his headed effort rebound off the crossbar midway the half. Kinnity booked a quarter final place after scoring the winning goal with two minutes remaining in the second period of extra time.
