Templetouhy 'B' 3 - Rearcross 'B' 3
Rearcross 'B' travelled to Templetouhy 'B' last Sunday morning
and shared the spoils on a three all score line, Rearcross will look back
and rue missed chances and the concession of a last minute goal to give the
home side something from this encounter. Rearcross got a perfect start in
the 1st minute when Nigel Ryan crossed the ball in to the box, Trevor Delahunty
harried the keeper with the ball breaking to Liam Nolan(B) who drilled home
from close range. Rearcross had chances to add the score line but were luckless
in front of goal. The home side were back in the game late in the half with
a well taken goal. Rearcross went ahead for the second time in the 60th minute
when Liam Nolan delivered to Thomas Kennedy who struck a left legged effort
past the Templetouhy net minder, the sides were level midway through the half
when the referee pointed to the spot, the resulting penalty was slotted to
the back of the net, Rearcross were back in front minutes later when Thomas
Kennedy's curling corner kick was deflected to the net, Rearcross looked to
have sealed the victory, however disaster struck in the final minute with
the concession of a misfortunate goal.
