Rearcross 'B' 2 - Sallypark 1
Sallypark were the visitors to a chilly Rearcross F.C. Grounds
last Sunday morning for a friendly against Rearcross 'B' with the home side
coming out on top on a 2-1 score line. Rearcross went ahead in the 5th minute
when good play from Liam Ryan resulted in the ball being forced to the net
with the help of a Sallypark defender, Eamon Devitt extended the advantage
in the 11th minute with a shot from inside the box. Sallypark pulled one back
midway through the half when a free kick on the edge of the box came back
of the wall, however the ball was rifled to the top corner on the second attempt,
Simon Kennedy denied the visitors an equaliser with a save from the penalty
spot just before half time. The second half was well contested with Rearcross
doing well to hold on for the victory.
