Rearcross 'A' 1- Nenagh AFC 'A' 2

Nenagh AFC 'A' were the visitors to Rearcross FC Grounds last Tuesday night for this floodlit Premier Division league game against Rearcross 'A' and came through by the odd goal in three against the home side. The opening exchanges were evenly shared and PJ McLoughlin came close for Rearcross in the 10th minute with a well struck effort. The visitors went ahead on 15 mimutes with a smashing efffort from Stefan Olah from out on the right that sailed to the far corner of the net. Rearcross kept battling and a James Gough effort wasn't far off on the 20 minute mark. Rearcross custodian Sean Sheehy had to be sharp to save a Paul Kelly shot with thirteen minutes remaining in the half and then the Rearcross net minder was forced to tap a Dearan O'Gorman effort over the bar. Nenagh were making as strong finish to the half and Sean Sheehy had to come to the rescue again in the 39th minute with a smart save to deny Paul Tucker.
Rearcross were very much in contention in the second half and enjoyed spells of dominance which paid off when Eamon Gleeson levelled midway through the half, however Nenagh were to have the last say and got in for a late winnner

Best of luck to Nenagh AFC who played host to Dundalk side Glenmuir Utd in the fifth round of the FAI Junior Cup on this Sunday.
