Borroway Rovers 4 - Rearcross 'A' 4
Rearcross travelled to Loughtagalla Park to play Borroway Rovers in what proved to be an entertaining encounter. In an evenly contested first half, the teams went into the break at one goal apiece with Robert Harrington scoring with a lovely looping header after Rearcross had fallen behind. Borroway started the second half the better and found themselves 3-1 up within 10 minutes of the restart. Rearcross didn't drop their heads though and were back in the game five minutes later when Shane Lenihan sent a speculative shot which caught out the keeper. It was three all in the 63rd minute when Mark Hogan struck home a penalty. Rearcross were really getting on top at this stage and took the lead when Davy O'Toole rose highest at the back post to head home from a corner. Borroway started to up the ante after this and equalised with fiveminutes to go when their attacker struck a sweet volley to the roof of the Rearcross net and that is how it finished.
