NT&DL Second Division Sheild Title for Rearcross

Rearcross collected their first North Tipperary & District League trophy in dramatic style with a merited four nil victory against Shinrone in the final of the Second Division Shield played at Nenagh Celtic's grounds in Springfort, Nenagh. The goalscores on the day were Jerry O'Toole, Brendan Deegan and Thomas Kennedy who hit the target twice.
Rearcross overcame Moneygall in the first round of the competition on a 5-3 aggregate scoreline, Rearcross won the first leg on a 3-1 scoreline with Brendan Deegan scoring a brace and PJ Carey scoring the third, the second leg was a more evenly fought encounter with the sides finishing with two goals a piece. Garret Kennedy and Thomas Kennedy were the marksmen for Rearcross.
The Shield semifinal saw Rearcross defeat rivals Ballinaclough on a 2-1 scoreline in a game played in Ballywilliam, Pat Deegan and Thomas Kennedy grabbed the all important goals for Rearcross.
