Rearcross had to settle for a divide of the spoils on a nil all score line against Birdhill in this league fixture played at the Birdhill venue last Saturday morning, Rearcross settled well after a nervous start and went on to dominate most of the first half although Birdhill did come in to the game towards the end of the half with the Rearcross rearguard doing well to keep their opponents at bay. Rearcross were thwarted in the second half with a fine performance from the Birdhill keeper with Blane Lenihan unlucky not to open his account on more than one occasion, then a fine individual effort from Shane Lenihan shaved the post late in the game, all said and done a draw was deemed a fair result at the end of the day. Rearcross had good performances from Harry Williams, Ger Grace, Shane Lenihan and Blane Lenihan
