Rearcross U-14's turned in a gutsy performance against Moneygall in Ballingrawn last Saturday and came away with full points on a one nil score line. Rearcross made a bright start and created the early chances before going ahead on the twenty minute mark when a quickly taken free kick by William Horrigan released Tommy Kennedy who raced through and finished with aplomb to the bottom corner of the net. Rearcross were fortunate minutes later when a penalty claim from Moneygall went unheard, Greg Kennedy came to the rescue for Rearcross with a fine save following a corner kick, Rearcross performed admirably in the second half and were unlucky not to increase their lead when a Cormac Nolan shot was barely over the bar after a well worked pass from Marc Murphy, Rearcross were deserving winners on the day and had glowing performances from Sean Hickey and Harry Williams with Greg Kennedy, William Horrgian and Kieran Devitt also very much to the fore.
