Rearcross U-12's turned in a battling performance in this Cup semi-final played in Rearcross last Tuesday evening before loosing out to a well organised Ardcroney side, Rearcross matched their opponents early on with chances falling to both sides however it was the visitors that went ahead midway through the half with a well executed goal, Rearcross were dealt a further minutes later with a cross from the right was headed to the net from inside the six yard box, Ardcroney made it three nil shortly after the restart with a goal from the penalty spot, Rearcross kept plugging a pulled a goal back when Shane Lenihan broke from the centre of the field and slided the ball past the visiting custodian, Rearcross were well on top to the final whistle, however the visiting defence held firm against a home side that deserved more from the outing.
