Rearcross U-14's emerged victorious from this league encounter played in Rearcross against Birdhill on a 4-1 score line, an evenly contested first half saw the sides level at half time on a one all score line, Birdhill showed strongly early on and went ahead on the 15th minute mark with a well taken goal, Shane Lenihan equalised for Rearcross five minutes before the half with a fine individual effort. Rearcross ran riot at the start of the second half and scored three goals in a twelve minute spell that left no way back for the visitors, Marc Murphy gave Rearcross the lead minutes after the restart when he tucked the ball in the bottom corner, Harry Williams made it 3-1 two minutes later with a cleverly taken goal and then Shane Lenihan made it 4-2 with his second of the day with a finish from in front of goal, Birdhill battled to get back in to the game, however the three goal burst proved the difference on the day.
