Rearcross U-8's played out an entertaining challenge game against a Newport Town AFC selection last Sunday morning in Rearcross with the home side emerging victorious, Newport held a 2-1 lead at half time with Thomas Lyons opening the account for Rearcross in a well contested opening half, a storming second half performance saw Rearcross run our winners with Newport unlucky not to further add to their tally, the second half scorers for Rearcross were Patrick Carey x 2, Patrick Deegan x 2, Thomas Lyons and a fine individual effort from Conor Nolan.
