Birdhill 4 - Rearcross U-14's 1
An under strength Rearcross U-14 team went down 4-1 to Birdhill in a match played at the Birdhill venue last Saturday. Donal Kennedy put Rearcross ahead in the 5th minute with a fine goal. Birdhill pulled a goal back before half time from the penalty spot. The game remained in the balance up until the final quarter; however it was Birdhill who took the lead due to an unfortunate deflection which resulted in the ball ending up in the Rearcross net. Rearcross pushed forward for an equaliser but to no avail as Birdhill added on another two goals in the dying minutes. Best for Rearcross were: Seán Hickey, James O' Connor and Greg Kennedy.
