Rearcross U-14's were the visitors to Birdhill for this league encounter and lost out by the odd goal in three against the home side, Rearcross were on top in the opening half and came close with efforts from Tommy Kennedy, Marc Murphy and Shane Lenihan, the woodwork was to deny the visitors in the 29th minute when Shane Lenihan's effort thumped off the woodwork, however Rearcross went ahead a minute later when James O'Connor rattled the net, Rearcross got the breaks in the second half and David Carroll denied Birdhill with a fine penalty save, Birdhill struck twice in a three minute spell midway through the second half to seal the points.
