Rearcross U-10's 2 - Holycross 1
Rearcross progressed in the U-10 Cup with a superb 2-1 victory over Division One League leaders Holycross at a sunny Rearcross FC Grounds last Thursday evening, Rearcross got stuck in from the kick off and enjoyed their fair share of possession, however it was the visitors who went ahead when the ball was deflected to the net off a luckless Rearcross defender. The home side dug deep after this and equalised just before the break when Ger Egan smashed the ball to the back of the net. Shane Quigley came to the rescue for the home side with a fine reflex save on the stroke of half time. Both sides had their chances in the second half, however it was Ger Egan who turned in a man of the match performance scored a cracking goal following an mazy solo run from midfield to seal the win for Rearcross.
