Rearcross U-10's made the long journey to Cloughjordan on Wednesday evening to play the home side in the Quarter Final of the U-10 Cup, the home side who ply their trade in the First Division of the U-10 league made a strong start and Rearcross had to dig deep early on to keep the score line intact, Rearcross took the lead midway through the opening half when Patrick Deegan fired home from in front of goal, Rearcross enjoyed the better of the exchanges at the start of the second half and went two nil up when Patrick Deegan who turned in a fine performance throughout netted his second of the day, a late rally from Cloughjordan saw the margin reduced to a minimum, however Rearcross held on to earn a place in the semi-final.
