Due to the ongoing inclement weather being experienced recently, Rearcross played host to Sallypark on the all weather playing pitch last Saturday morning. Rearcross were hoping for a repeat performance they enjoyed against Sallypark earlier in the season and were on track 8 minutes into the game when Patrick Carey broke the deadlock for the home side. Another goal from Patrick Carey and a brace from Aaron McMahon put Rearcross in the driving seat however Sallypark did manage to get on the scoresheet just before the break making the scoreline 4 -1 at half time.Patrick Carey rounded off his hat trick early in the second half and soon after Rearcross introduced their substitute bench. Sallypark never gave up their quest for glory and were rewarded with 2 more goals in quick succession. With only 3 minutes remaining they were again on the scoresheet making it 5 -4 and giving Rearcross a nervy end to this encounter. However Rearcross held out and collected maximum points for their efforts.
