Rearcross U-10's 3 - Arra Rovers 4

When Arra travelled to Rearcross on Saturday morning for a repeat of last weeks fixture hopes were high that Rearcross would reverse the result they suffered seven days previously. Both sides started with great enthusiasm and chances were created at either end of the field. With about 7 minutes into the game it was Arra who broke the deadlock when the Rearcross defence was stretched to the limit. Arra began to enjoy some dominance after their first goal and within the next 5 minutes were three goals to the good.Minutes remaining before the half time whistle Adam Hurley got Rearcross on to the scoresheet reducing the deficit. The second half started brightly for Rearcross and the continued pressure on the Arra defence finally gave in when Patrick Carey scored the second of the game for the home side. Rearcross continued to play well and midway through the second half an Aaron McMahon goal levelled matters. Both sides fought hard for the winner and Rearcross can consider themselvesunlucky when an own goal was scored from an Arra corner giving the visitors the advantage that they managed to retain for the remainder of the match.
