Rearcross entertained Arra Rovers in this U-12 Division 1 league game played at Rearcross FC Grounds and were unlucky in the end not to take full points from the encounter. Rearcross dominated the proceedings in the first half and came close with two cracking efforts from Gary O'Brien. The Portroe side showed strongly at the beginning of the second half and were rewarded with a well taken goal. Rearcross dug deep after this and equalised five minutes later when Gary O'Brien swung in a fine cross from the right to Brian Carey who headed with precision to the back of the net from outside the six yard box. Rearcross attacked in droves in search of a winner, however some staunch defending from Rearcross denied the home side. Rearcross were well served on the day by Ger Egan, Tommy Lyons, Brian Carey and Gary O'Brien who turned in a man of the match performance
