Rearcross U-12's were away to Puckane last Saturday in the U-12 league and played out a three all draw. Rearcross went ahead when Patrick Carey opened his account after getting on the end of a corner kick to boot the net midway through the first half. The visitors raced in to a two nil lead when an in form Patrick Carey broke from the middle of the field and left the Puckane net minder with no chance. Rearcross keeper Darragh Ryan Luke made a superb save two minutes later to keep the score line intact. Puckane did pull a goal back on the stroke of half time with a well taken goal. Rearcross were on top again at the start of the second half and Patrick Carey rounded off his hat-trick and his fifteenth of the season with a well struck shot from the edge of the eighteen yard box. The woodwork denied Rearcross a fourth when Darragh Kennedy's effort clipped the woodwork midway through the half. Puckane made a strong finish and netted twice to secure a point against a Rearcross side that turned in a fine performance on the day.
