Rearcross U-12's faced a tough task in this U12 Cup tie against Templemore and turned in a gallant performance before losing out by the odd goal in five to Premier Division opposition. Rearcross made a lively start and took the lead midway through the first half when Jamie Russell obliged with a well taken goal. The home side regrouped after this and made a strong finish to the half tacking on two goals in the process. Rearcross pushed forward in the second half and were caught on a counter attack, Templemore took full advantage to open up a
three goals to one lead. Rearcross dug deep after this and pulled it back to a minimum when Darragh Kennedy converted from the spot with four minutes remaining, however time ran out for the visitors as Templemore booked their place in the semi-final stages, best of luck to Templemore in the remainder of the competition.
