Birdhill and Rearcross clashed in this U-8 Futsal game played in St Mary's Secondary School Gym on Saturday evening with plenty of goals on view. The sides were locked on a three all score line at the half time whistle with Stephen Rochford, Cathal Kennedy and Patrick Dawson hitting the target for Rearcross while Thomas Floyd bagged a hat trick for Birdhill. The second half was a ding dong affair, Grace O'Toole netted a hat-trick for the visitors while Thomas Floyd chipped in with a second hat trick for Birdhill. Lee Mowat got on the score sheet for Birdhill before Patrick Dawson tacked on three more for Rearcross to round off a most entertaining game that saw all players making fine contributions on the day. Thanks to the vocal home and away supporters and thanks to Birdhill FC for facilitating the game.
