An understrength Rearcross U-16 side travelled to Holycross for this league encounter against the home side and were unlucky to lose out in the end by the odd goal in three. The home side made the better start and went ahead after fiver minutes with a well taken goal, Rearcross worked their way back in to the game and equalised on 21 minutes when Tommy Kennedy finished to the net. The game was in the balance in the second half, however Holycross got in for the winner to deny a Rearcross side that turned in a gutsy performance on the day.
