Rearcross hosted the visiting Arra Rovers side last Saturday afternoon for another tough league encounter. Rearcross got off to the brighter start when after 3 minutes of play Pat O’Toole went on a long solo run to lay off the ball to Conor Nolan who calmly rounded the Arra keeper and register the first score of the day. 2 minutes later the Arra keeper had better luck when he saved a certain goal from an Aaron mcMahon strike. Midway through the first half Ronan Tucker gathered the ball on the edge of the area in front of the Rearcross

goalmouth and his fine strike found the net which levelled the score. With 2 minutes left before the half time break Rearcross managed to score their second of the day when Aaron McMahon scored from close range following a Conor Nolan Pass. Arra Rovers started the second half well and were quickly rewarded by 2 goals scored in quick succession. Arra Rovers were now in control of the game and were rewarded a 4^th goal 12 minutes into the second half courtesy of Ciaran Pateman. Rearcross scored a late consolation when Adam Hurley scored from a tight angle. However time ran out for the home side and Arra Rovers held out for a well earned victory.
