Rearcross made the journey to Ardcroney last Saturday morning where they met the division 1 leaders. Despite Ardcroneys obvious strength, Rearcross were hopeful of a favourable result having already beaten the league leaders earlier in the season. The game started brightly for Ardconrey who created most of the attacking play and it was in the 9^th minute of the game when the home side were rewarded for their efforts through a fine goal scored by Craig Morgan. Rearcross battled hard following this set-back and began settle in to the game but goal chances remained elusive. With just one minute left in the opening half a cross from the right hand side found Craig Morgan who made no mistake in scoring his second of the day.

The second half was a more even affair between the sides that saw no further goals with few chances created at either end. Midway through the second half Conor Nolan’s effort was just wide of the target for Rearcross while at the other end of the field Adam Hurley pulled off some fine saves from the Ardcroney attackers and so the game ended with a victory for the home side.
