Birdhill 7 - Rearcross U-10's 1
Rearcross suffered their biggest defeat of the season when they travelled to Birdhill last Saturday morning for this league encounter.
Birdhill got off the mark quickly when after just 5 minutes they scored their first of the day through Mikey Gorman. A second goal for the home side came after 11 minutes when a headed effort from Jack Connelly following a corner kick hit the Rearcross net. Rearcross battled hard to keep in the game and an Adam Hurley effort went just wide of the Birdhill goals in the 11 minute of the game. Birdhill soon afterwards scored their 3rd of the day through Mikey Gorman. Rearcross reduced the defecit in the 18th minute when an Aaron McMahon strike found the net and just a minute later a further effort from Aaron McMahon just crept wide of the goals.Birdhill dominated the 2nd half of the game adding a further 4 goals to their tally including 2 more goals from Mikey Gorman bringing his tally to an impressive 4 goals in the game and 1 goal each from Patrick Murtagh and Cian Harvey.
