Rearcross U-10's 2 - Ardcroney 'B' 1

Ardcroney travelled to Rearcross last Saturday morning to play out the first round of the U10 cup. Rearcross got off to a flying start in the 4th minute following a pass from Aaron McMahon which found Philip Deegan who made no mistake striking first time high to the back of the net. Ardcroney did well to recover from this early set back and soon settled into the game. The 16th minute of the first half saw Adam Hurley pull off a fine save in the Rearcross

Goals from a point blank effort. With just the minimum between the sides at half time both sides were confident going into the 2nd half of proceeding to the next round of the cup. Ardcroney started the second half with great determination and were rewarded on the 5th minute of the half following a close range effort which found the back of the Rearcross net. Ardcroney’s optimism was short lived however when 2 minutes later Conor Nolan ventured on a long solo run and finished to the net with a great long range effort giving the advantage back to Rearcross. Rearcross played well for the remainder of the game to hold on to their lead and were rewarded with a place in the next round of the cup at the final whistle.
