Puckane 1 - Rearcross U-10's 1

Easter Bank Holiday Monday saw Rearcross travel to Puckane for the last league game of the season. Puckane applied the pressure in the early stages of the game and were rewarded with a goal midway through the first half. Both defences held solid for the remainder of the half, with Puckane retaining their well deserved goal lead at half time. Rearcross improved greatly in the second half and after five minutes - good work by Sam Wilkins in front of goal, resulted in Rearcross being awarded a penalty for handball. However, Conor Nolan's spot kick attempt went just high of the crossbar. Five minutes later, Conor then made ammends with an excellent cross from the right, to pick out the unmarked Philip Deegan, who made no mistake to level the game. Few chances were created by either side for the remaining ten minutes and so and entertaining game ended in level terms
