Rearcross U14s kicked off their 10/11 league campaign in a disappointing fashion with a 7-1 defeat in Shinrone last Saturday afternoon. The visitors found themselves 2 down almost immediately as Shinrone  seem to run through Rearcross witho apparent ease. The game settled somewhat after this lightning start and Rearcross had their best spell. They pulled a goal back when Gary O’Brien found the net with a well struck shot from the edge of the area. However Rearcross were dealt a vital blow when a scramble in their penalty area saw the ball eventually break to a Shinrone player who found the corner to restore the home sides 2 goal advantage at the break. The game was effectively finished as a contest when Shinrone scored a fourth early in the second half. Both sides when through the motions after this with Shinrone getting in behind the Rearcross defence at will. The hosts added to scoreboard late on as Rearcross returned home empty handed.
