Shinrone travelled to Rearcross last Saturday morning following the meeting of the two sides just 7 days previously in Shinrone.

Shinrone were hoping to have a reversal of fortunes this time round and their intent was clear from the kick off. Shinrone started brightly and produced some good passing movement however the Rearcross defence stood strong and averted any chance of the visiting side taking the advantage. The battle for midfield possession was evenly fought out but it was Shinrone who started to create the chances in the latter end of the first half. Some fine saves from Pat Carroll in the Rearcross goalmouth kept Shinrone scoreless. Rearcross increased the pressure on Shinrone in the final minutes of the first half and it looked like their efforts were rewarded in the 26^th minute when Philip Deegan scored from close range however the referee adjudged the player to be off-side. Minutes later Philip Deegan had another close range effort blocked by the Shinrone goalkeeper. The second half saw Rearcross take more control of the game and it was on the 39^th minute when the all important goal was scored courtesy of Conor Nolan. Great performances from Trudie Hurley in defence, Conor Nolan in midfield and Patrick Hayes in the forwards helped Rearcross to retain their slim advantage until the final whisltle sounded.
