Rearcross U-12's were victorious over Moneygall on a one nil scoreline in the U-12 league last Saturday. Rearcross started poorly and let the home side dictate the pace with goalkeeper Jim Calpis having to come off his line twice in the opening period to save the day after two defensive errors. Rearcross came in to the game after this and were rewarded for their superior possession when James Gough slotted home on the stroke of half time. Scoring opportunities for either side were few and far between in the second half, however Mark Hogan did well to save the points for Rearcross late in the game when he cleared off the line after intense pressure from Moneygall.
