Nenagh Town 'B' 2 - Rearcross U-14's 8
Rearcross U-14's ran out easy winners against an understrength Nenagh Town
'B' selection in a league game played in Nenagh last Saturday. Jamie Ryan
gave Rearcross the lead seven minutes in to the match when he chipped the
keeper. Rearcross went two in front on 12 minutes when Jamie Ryan was on target
for the second time. James Gough made it three nil midway through the half
after a great run from midfield. Rearcross increased the lead in the 20th
minute when Michael O'Gorman got on the end of James Gough cross and finished
to the net. Rearcross were well on top at this stage and added another when
Danny O'Brien was on hand to knock home after a goalmouth scramble. Jamie
Ryan slotted past the Nenagh keeper on the stroke of half time to make it
six nil. Nenagh pulled a goal back early in the second half with a nicely
taken effort, James Gough restored his sides advantage minutes later with
a fine strike from the edge of the box. Nenagh got in for a second goal midway
through the half with a goal from close range, Jamie Ryan rounded of the 8-2
victory with 10 minutes remaining to bring his tally to four on the day.
