Rearcross U-12's 8 - Doon U-11's 4
Rearcross U-12's played a Doon U-11 side in a challenge game
played at the Rearcross F.C. Grounds last Wednesday evening. Rearcross shaded
the encounters in the opening half and led 3-1 at half time with a brace of
goals from Jim Caplis and a strike from Mark Hogan while Michael Treacy replied
a Doon team managed by stalwart Jody Shanahan. The second half was used as
an opportunity to give all the younger players a run out with Cathal McNamara,
John Hayes and Gerard McNamara hitting the target for Doon while Cormac Nolan,
James Gough, Michael O'Gorman, Kieran Devitt and Stephen Mills got their names
on the scoresheet for Rearcross, in all a total of thirty six players were
given the opportunity to parade their skills.
