Shannon Rangers 2 - Rearcross U-16's 6
Rearcross U-16's travelled to Ballingarrry for a league encounter with Shannon Rangers over the Christmas period and emerged victorious on a 6-2 scoreline. Rearcross scored against the run of play in the 15th minute when David O'Toole finished from close range. Rearcross went two nil up a minute later when Enda Clifford was on target. John Foley made it three nil in the 19th minute with a good goal from inside the box. Rearcross raced into a four nil lead five minutes in to the second half when Sean Sheehy scored a well executed goal. John Berkery added to the tally when he got on the end of a Liam Ryan free kick in the 70th minute. Shannon Rangers stuck to their task well and pulled two goals back in as many minutes, however Enda Clifford wrapped the game up for Rearcross with three minutes remaining when he scored a well struck goal.
