Killavilla 'A' 2 - Rearcross U-10's 4
Rearcross U-10's undertook a midweek journey to Roscrea for
an U-10 league game against Killavilla 'A' and made the trip worthwhile with
a 4-2 victory, Rearcross played poorly in the first half and were two goals
in arrears at half time after conceding in the 7th and 13th minute, a blistering
second half performance saw Rearcross bang in four without reply, Tommy Kennedy
opened the account early with a strike from far out. Paddy O'Brien levelled
matters four minutes later when he applied the finish from in front of goal.
Brendan Shanahan was to the fore midway through the half with two fine saves.
Rearcross applied all the pressure towards the end of the game and went ahead
with five minutes remaining when the ball was forced to the net off a Killavilla
defender after good work by William Mackey and Paddy O'Brien. Tommy Kennedy
made sure of the points with two minutes remaining when he struck from outside
the box.
