Nenagh Town 'B' 3 - Rearcross U-12's 2
Rearcross U-12's kicked off their league campaign in Nenagh
last Saturday morning on a losing note with defeat on a 3-2 score line to
Nenagh Town 'B', the home side held a one nil lead at half time with Greg
Kennedy doing well in goal for Rearcross in the opening half. Nenagh added
goal number two early in the second period, Rearcross pulled a goal back 15
minutes in to the half when Marc Murphy and Thomas Ryan combined to set up
Kieran Devitt who volleyed to the back of the net. Nenagh restored their two
goal cushion midway through the half with a well taken goal, Rearcross were
on top for the remainder of the game, however the Nenagh keeper was alert
to anything that came his way, Rearcross did reduce the deficit with two minutes
remaining when Cormac Nolan was on target from the edge of the box, however
Nenagh held on to claim the points. Rearcross had good performances from Greg
Kennedy, Vicky Reynolds and Harry Williams.
