The scoreline doesn't do justice to the peformance turned in by an energetic Rearcross squad in this league tie played in Rearcross on Saturday last, Rearcross threatened early on with Thomas Ryan, James Deegan and Sean Hickey to the fore, however it was Templemore who took the lead late in the first half with a well executed goal by Francais Kennedy. The game was in the melting pot at the start of the second half with Rearcross enjoying their fair share of possession and were unlucky with efforts from Donal Kennedy and Niall O'Toole, however it was the visitors who hit the target when Benny Harkin made no mistake five minutes into the half. Francais Kennedy shot Templemore in to a three nil lead midway through the half with an opportunist goal and went on to complete his hattrick with three minutes remaining with a finish from close range. Thomas Ryan scored a consolation goal for Rearcross in injury time with a well taken penalty.
