Promising showing from an improving Rearcross side

Rearcross U-11’s welcomed Arra Rovers to Rearcross on Saturday morning for this entertaining encounter. Rearcross fielded a young team for this age group and turned in a very creditable performance and are improving with every game. The first half was well contested with Freddie Hartnett playing splendidly between the posts with James Dunne, Jack Kennedy, Robbie Maher, Michael Johnson and Ethan O’Gorman showing strongly for Rea, before Cian Lenihan opened the scoring for the hosts with a fine goal. The second half saw Rearcross doing very well against a lively Portroe outfit as Fionn Guidera, Oliver Hartnett, Lee McInerney, Toan Kurian, Joseph Kennedy, Oisin Kennedy and Francisco Macedo all played their part. Freddie Hartnett bagged a brace in the second half to cap off a player of the match performance. Well done to all Rearcross players.
