Shield exit for Rearcross 'B' in Ballinree

The Division 2A shield match between Ballymackey B and Rearcross B kicked off in Ballymackey at 6:30PM. The game started off quite vibrantly with Ballymackey scoring an early goal only a few minutes into the game, a cross from the left side of the goal over their free man, Dylan Delaney, on the back post, only for it to be equalised a couple of minutes later by Rob Harrington after a low driven cross from Aidan Bryan at the endline to the left of the Ballymackey goal. The rest of the first half ended pretty evenly with a few chances for both sides, however in the second half Ballymackey sealed out the game with a quick succession of four goals by Aaron Shanahan, Darek Hickey, Jack Doran and Paddy Tuohy. Subs were made in the second half with Colm Carey coming on for Dylan Hyde on the right wing, Gavin Denihan coming on for Felim Deegan at left back, Colm Nolan coming in for Gary Ryan centre midfield and Willie Horrigan coming in for David Brennan up front, the last twenty minutes of the game was pretty even once again with a few chances for Rea to try get something back but to no avail. Game finished 5-1 to Ballymackey, knocking the Bs out of the shield
