Away Cup defeat for depleted Rearcross U-13 side

Rearcross were on the road for the second evening running to Templemore for this U-13 Cup game against BT Harps ‘A’ on Wednesday evening. This was always going to be an uphill battle for Rea as the hosts play in the Premier Division and two divisions above the visiting side. The task was further compounded as there was a clash with a gaelic football game and players had to be split across both codes. Nevertheless, huge credit to all involved for fielding a team against the odds and a special word of thanks to Rearcross U-12 Girls players; Marie, Orla, Zofia and Saoirse for travelling to ensure Rea were able to field a team. The game itself was one sided as expected as the hosts led six nil at the break and netted two more in the second half, best of luck to BT Harps in the next round. Well done to all Rearcross players for giving it their all on the evening and finally thanks to stand in manager Pat Hickey.
