Comprehensive win for Rearcross U-14 Boys in Roscrea
Rearcross U-14’s travelled to Roscrea to play Killavilla U-14's ‘B’ for an early Saturday morning kick off. Rearcross hit the front when Conor Nolan scored in the 5th minute and then Jonathan Dawson saw 2 efforts well saved by Kyle Connolly in the Killavilla goals. Conor Nolan made it 2-0 in the 11th minute with a well worked goal. Jonathan Dawson opened his account in the 13th minute to make it three nil. Jonathan Dawson added his second of the outing on the 20-minutemark when his free kick from outside the box, had too much power and accuracy for the Killavilla goalie. Micheal Collins finished to the net on the half hour mark after following through on Patrick Carr’s effort which came off the Killavilla goal post, to leave Rearcross with a commanding five nil lead at the half time whistle. Rearcross started the second half in the same vein as Conor Nolan completed his hat-trick in the 45th minute with a neat finish after Jonathon Dawson’s effort hit the post. Jonathan Dawson completed his hat-trick in the 50th minute with a smart finish. Conor Nolan scored 2 more goals in the 58th and 60th minute to bring his tally to five on the day. All in all, it was a dominant display by Rearcross U-14’s with the backs and the midfielders not giving a minute on the ball to the Killavilla players and the quality of passing to the two up front players proved dividends on the scoreboard.
