Good workout for Rearcross 'B' against Thurles Town in pre-season friendly

Rearcross 'B' welcome Thurles Town to Bilboa for this pre-season friendly and played second fiddle on this occasion. The visitors made a spritely start and hit the front on five minutes after find the net following a long throw in to the box. Rearcross picked it up after this and came close when Gavin Denihan fired over and then at the other end Brian Hammersley came off his line to make a good save. Thurles went 2 nil up in the 18th minute and then Paul Ryan came to the rescue after heading clear at the near post to deny the visitors a third. Rea came close when the ball was narrowly wide from a corner kick and then Brian Hammersley was in the action again with a fine block. The Rea boys upped the ante at the start of the 2nd half and pulled a goal back five minutes in when Liam Kelly tapped home following an Aidan Bryan assist. Rearcross emptied the bench and created their fair share of chances, but Thurles Town proved the more clinical tacking on two more goals in the process. Rearcross goalkeeper Brian Hammersley had another fine outing in goals.
