Comprehensive home win for Rearcross U-13's

Rearcross hosted Silvermines in this league game played under lights at Rearcross FC Grounds on Wed evening and ran out comfortable winners on a 7-3 scoreline. The Rea boys were fast out of the blocks and were two up early on with a brace from Conor Nolan, Silvermines battled hard to reduce the deficit, but Jack Hickey edged Rearcross 3 nil ahead with a well taken goal. Conor Nolan was on target again to complete his hat-trick with a fine finish. The hosts took a 5 nil advantage to the break after Jonathan Dawson rattled the net.
Rearcross were on top again in the second half with Jonathon Dawson grabbing his second of the evening after advancing through the centre before coolly slotting home from close range. Goalkeeper Darragh Reynolds came out of goals in the 2nd half and was through on goals only to be upended inside the box, Ciaran McLoughlin stepped up to rifle the resulting penalty to the back of the net. Credit to a Silvermines team that never gave up and bagged a trio of goals late on through Kaydon Amadao, Sam Forde and Oscar O'Toole. Well done to all Rearcross players on a fine all round performance.
