Rearcross U-14 Boys progress on two nil scoreline

Rearcross U-14’s took on Knigh Utd on Saturday in Rearcross and were the quickest out of the blocks when Conor Nolan got on the end of a James Costello free kick with just 4 minutes gone. Jonathan Dawson came close when the ball broke from the resulting tip off but the effort was just wide. Knigh were struggling to deal with the wave of Rearcross pressure as Shane Lee and Micheal Collins delivered dangerous balls into the Knigh penalty box from either flank one after each other. Rearcross made it 2-0 when Matthew Ryan won the ball just on the half way line, he set Shane Lee on his way down the left flank who in turn found Conor Nolan who rounded the keeper and dispatched to the back of the net.
Shortly after, referee Colin O'Gorman felt unwell and the match had to be postponed. Thanks to Brendan Quigley who escorted the referee home. Colin is wished a full and speedy recovery and we look forward to welcoming him back to Rea in the future.
