Thrilling win for Rearcross U-14 Girls in testing weather conditions

Rearcross U-14 Girls hosted Ardcroney U-14 girls in Rearcross on Friday evening last with a 7pm kick-off. This game was played in monsoon type weather conditions, with almost 50 minutes played before there was a break from the driving rain. Great credit to both teams which was a very even game. With Rearcross edging it on a 5-4 scoreline, with both teams’ intent on all-out attack from the start.
Ardcroney led 2 nil at half time adding two more in the second half but credit to the Rearcross ladies who hit Ardcroney for 5 second half goals, 2 apiece for Kate Kennedy and Zofia Kwiecinska and 1 for Maria Collins. The Ardcroney sharpshooters were Shauna Costello, Aoife McLoughney, Ali Shanahan, Aine Kennedy
Great team effort from Rearcross on the night in awful playing conditions, they start their North Tipp campaign with a win and a draw from their opening two games.
